GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Business Development Director directs the business development activities of the organization and drives the new sales business for the company playing a key role in the company's bottom line. Directs, establishes, maintains, and plans the overall policies and goals for a business development department. Identifies potential business partners and negotiates agreements. Works with product development, marketing and/or sales groups to align with the company's growth strategy.

He/she is able to lead a team of sales and account managers and provide and articulate solutions that will ensure his/her team's overall success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Accounts Management

  • Manage profitability and budget for healthy PnL and ROI.
  • Influence and inspire Officers and Managers in the areas of Account Management and salesmanship.
  • Build strong relationships with C-level decision makers and create trust and solid partnership.

Business Development

  • Cross-sell other products and services outside his/her domain and other verticals.
  • Form Strategic Partnership with C-level
  • Makes decisions to influence and promote sales.

Proactive Solutions Selling

  • Steer and collaborate with internal and external teams to come up with a solution with more than 3 components
  • Recommend solutions even outside the current capabilities of Yondu.
  • Influence client requirements specification or create a need that best positions Yondu's products and services

People Management

  • Track individual contributors and their accomplishments
  • Provide effective and regular coaching to continuously monitor and develop performance
  • Give corrective guidance and actions appropriately through one-on-one private discussions
  • Help his/her assigned BU to spot and close opportunities by building the capabilities and the skills of his/her team.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Make sure that dependencies across Business and Support teams are addressed to deliver client requirements while protecting the Company's best interest.
  • Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas.
  • Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational sales, marketing and Customer Relationship activities.
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets
  • Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations
  • Examine risks and potentials for business opportunities

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Education – Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or equivalent; Master's Degree is ideal
  • Related Experience – At least 7 years of experience in the field
  • Experience in working with senior management to align sales strategies and solutions
  • Must have experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment
  • Proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
  • Should have significant experience in handling and managing people
  • Should have experience in issues management and resolution
  • Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.
  • With Sales Enablement certification from Service Partner programs of Adobe, AWS
  • Knowledge – Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Should be well knowledgeable in selling ALL of the products and services of YONDU and therefore powerfully articulate the best possible solution to customer and internal support
  • Solid technical and business model understanding of various as a Service Model (SaaS, CPaaS, CaaS, IaaS etc.)
  • Soft Skills:
  • Should have an excellent sense of business acumen and should be able to manage profitability and budget for a healthy PnL and ROI.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
