Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced Residential Architect or Architectural Draftsperson to

contribute across all stages of residential design and documentation. The ideal

candidate will be highly proficient in ARCHICAD and confident in working with 3D

modelling workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver design and documentation across all phases of residential projects
  • Develop DA and CDC drawings in line with council and legislative requirements
  • Create high-quality presentations and documentation using ARCHICAD
  • Coordinate with consultants and manage external documentation inputs
  • Apply BCA, Council DCPs, and LEPs within residential contexts
  • Work independently to meet project timelines and compliance requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Australian industry experience
  • Proficiency in ARCHICAD v23 or later (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated experience in residential design (houses, duplexes, townhouses)
  • Strong presentation and creative design capability
  • Expertise in DA and CDC documentation
  • Familiarity with BCA, LEPs, DCPs, and CDC Guidelines
  • Working knowledge of Australian construction methods
  • Experience in 3D modelling workflows (not limited to 2D drafting)
  • Ability to work autonomously and coordinate with external teams
  • Portfolio or evidence of capability must be available upon request

Desirable

  • Experience with NDIS projects, childcare centres, or multi-unit developments

Software Proficiency

  • ARCHICAD v23 or later

Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Drafting, or related field

Personal Attributes

  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proactive and organised in managing project requirements

Time Zone: Australian Business Hours
