Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Pre-Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will design customized ICT solutions—including networking, cloud, and cybersecurity—based on client needs. You will work closely with the sales team to gather requirements, conduct technical presentations and demos, and develop proposals that align with business goals. Your ability to bridge technical solutions with client objectives will be key in ensuring successful engagements and long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Expertise
- Design tailored ICT solutions in collaboration with sales, covering networking, cloud, and cybersecurity
- Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical walkthroughs
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and solution proposals
2. Customer Engagement
- Gather and analyze client requirements
- Provide expert technical consultancy and clearly communicate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
3. Collaboration
- Work with sales to tailor pitches based on client needs
- Coordinate with vendors for technical clarifications
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment
4. Market & Technology Awareness
- Stay updated on emerging ICT trends and technologies
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify differentiators and value propositions
5. Problem Solving
- Troubleshoot technical challenges during pre-sales and recommend appropriate solutions
6. Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Deliver internal training sessions for sales and junior engineers
- Facilitate client workshops to support technology adoption and user enablement
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or related fields
Relevant certifications are a strong advantage:
- Networking: CCNA, CCNP
- Cloud: AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
- Security: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+
- IT Service Management: ITIL
Technical Skills & Experience
- Strong background in ICT solutions including networking, cloud, cybersecurity, telecoms, and data center architecture
Hands-on experience with technologies such as:
- Networking: Routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, VPNs
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
- Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V
- Cybersecurity: IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption systems
- Professional Experience: 3–5 years of experience in pre-sales, technical consulting, or solutions architecture
- Familiarity with the end-to-end sales cycle, from requirement gathering to technical proposal delivery
- Industry exposure in telecom, finance, healthcare, or government is a plus
Soft Skills & Other Competencies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Team-oriented with a strong customer focus
- Familiarity with project management frameworks like PMP or PRINCE2 is a plus
- Multi-vendor solution experience (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, AWS) is advantageous
- Understanding of broader business processes (e.g., ERP, CRM) is preferred
