Job Overview:

The Medical Virtual Assistant is responsible for providing remote administrative and clinical support to ensure a smooth, efficient, and patient-focused experience. This role involves scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and follow-ups, managing electronic medical records, preparing documentation, and assisting with communication between patients, providers, and administrative staff. The Medical Virtual Assistant plays a vital role in supporting healthcare operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely, professional interaction with all parties. This position requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and healthcare workflows, along with excellent communication skills and strict adherence to confidentiality and compliance standards.

Job Responsibilities:


• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and follow-ups with healthcare providers


• Assist with administrative tasks such as patient communication and data entry


• Accurately handle medical documents, prescriptions, and referrals


• Communicate with patients professionally via phone, email, and messaging platforms


• Update and manage electronic medical records (EMR)


• Prepare and edit documents using Word, Excel, and PDF formats


• Write and document clearly and professionally — may assist with scribing and clinical documentation


• Support daily office operations in coordination with the clinical team

Job Qualifications:


• At least 1 year of experience working in a medical office or as a Medical VA


• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and common medications


• Excellent English communication and writing skills (written and verbal)


• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and working with PDF documents


• Experience scheduling patient appointments and managing calendars


• Must have a quiet, dedicated home workspace with a reliable internet connection


• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and confidentiality


• Can work night shift or day shift
