IT Business Analyst

About the Role:

The purpose of this document is to list and define the scope of work and the qualifications required for a Senior Business Analyst (Senior BA) who will support the implementation of Integrity Risk Intelligence System (IRIS) Phase 1.

Scope of Work/Responsibilities

• Work closely with business SMEs to prepare and validate requirements in the form of user stories;
• Comprehensively review vendor project deliverables including product backlog and Solution Design Document (SDD) assisting the business SMEs to ensure that requirements are fully and accurately captured by vendor;
• Support data migration from legacy to new system; this covers data migration strategy, data extraction/transformation/quality check before ingestion into target system; Assist with integration with internal and external data sources;
• Assist in the preparation and review of test scenarios, test cases and test scripts;
• Support the development and validation of automation testing;
• Work closely with the business and QA teams for the preparation of test data;
• Participate in system testing, integration testing and performance testing in collaboration with QA team;
• Coordinate with testing team and assist users with User Acceptance Testing;
• Monitor and manage bug fixes/issues and their resolution;
• Engage with vendor(s) for requirements elaboration, solution design and review, quality assurance and issue resolution;
• Assist in the preparation of training materials and delivery of training in collaboration with the Adoption and Change Management (ACM) team;
• Assist in the preparation and review of system go-live documentation including solution deployment plan (SDP), transition, support and maintenance plan (TSMP), go-live runbook, etc.;
• Assist the vendor during deployment, ensuring proper checks are performed;
• Assist in handover of project to business-as-usual (BAU) production support team; provide support to BAU team during the early life support (ELS) period as part of transition from project to BAU.

Requirement and Qualification (Education & Work Experience)

• Degree in Computer Science or any related course
• At least 8 years of solid experience in business analysis and 3 years in a senior business analysis role involving IT solution implementation and system integration
• 5 years of experience in the banking / financial services sector
• 5 years of experience in solution design and documenting business processes
• 5 years of experience in quality assurance and testing IT application
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Skilled with Microsoft tools such as SharePoint and Teams
• Knowledgeable in using Azure Dev Ops on managing iterations and building user stories and relevant supporting documents
• Must be conversant with project management lifecycle and systems development lifecycle principles following Agile methodology
• Must have excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with integrity risk management and due diligence databases (e.g., World-Check, LexisNexis, Dow Jones Risk & Compliance) will be an advantage
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, compliance platforms, and data analytics software to support implementation of integrity risk management solutions (an advantage)

Reporting and Coordination 

The Senior BA:

• Reports primarily to the Product Delivery Manager and the Product Manager.
• Works and coordinates closely with other BAs in collecting, documenting, and securing signoff on requirements from the business.
• Works with the product team, business users, test resources, vendors, and other stakeholders to support the implementation of IRIS Phase 1.
• Provides any other services as required by the IRIS product team, the Product Delivery Manager, and Product Manager.
