Job Description:

The Accounting Officer is responsible for supporting the Accounting Manager in ensuring accurate and timely month-end closing, financial reporting, and budget preparation. This role plays a key part in the preparation of balance sheet schedules, cash flow projections, and variance analysis of income and costs to provide insights into sales drivers, gross margin, and expenses versus budget and prior year. Additionally, the Accounting Officer assists in the preparation of financial reports for management and supports both internal and external audits by preparing schedules and coordinating the submission of sample documents.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial reporting, variance analysis, and general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with PFRS and internal controls.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and Time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
