Job Summary

The Accounting Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and maintaining compliance with relevant financial regulations. This role includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial data, managing client billing, employee payroll, accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting tax compliance and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Transactions & Record-Keeping

  • Process daily and record financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices and credit card billing statements, verify payment details, and schedule payments.
  • Generate invoices for clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Maintain vendor and customer account records.

3. Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and withholding tax.
  • Prepare and file tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Support audits by providing necessary financial documentation and responses.

4. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and provide management with accurate and timely reports.

5. Payroll Processing

  • Perform payroll calculations, including deductions and statutory contributions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of employee salaries.

6. Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable laws.

7. Other Duties

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders as required.
  • Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working toward CPA designation is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related role.
  • Experience with tax compliance, payroll processing, and financial reporting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms).

Pay: Php17, Php23,000.00 per month
