Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to assist with the daily financial operations of the company. This role is ideal for newly licensed CPAs or fresh graduates with a solid academic background and a keen interest in starting a career in accounting. The position offers exposure to a variety of accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and general accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR): Assist in processing and recording all AP and AR transactions accurately.
  • General Ledger: Maintain precise general ledger entries and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is in place.
  • Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Tax Compliance: Support the tax filing process and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Audit Support: Assist with audits by preparing necessary schedules, documentation, and reports.
  • Record Organization: Ensure accounting records are well-organized, filed correctly, and easily accessible for future reference.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to enhancing existing accounting processes and strengthening internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • License/Certification: Newly licensed CPA or fresh graduates are welcome to apply (CPA is preferred but not required).
  • Skills & Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (experience with accounting software is an advantage).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Organizational Skills: Effective time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
