JOB DESCRIPTION

A Systems Developer's role involves working with the Systems Analyst and co-system developers to implement the functionalities and data flow designs required in computer systems and software programs that ValueCare is using in operation; And so the employees can work accurately, quickly, and effectively. Ensures that the end-users will meet their organizational goals when they use the system developed by the system developer.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Technical Support for all In-house Systems.

  2. For outsourced system, should be responsible in probing the root cause of issues encountered by the user and report to the system provider the issue.

  3. Responsible in testing first the portal or system before deploying to the system users.

  4. Implements documented and approved System Change Requests of clients by coding and scripting the required functionalities.

  5. Receives assignments and projects from Supervisor and ICT Department Head. Must be responsible in implementing the appropriate actions such as Add, Update, Search, Insert, Upload etc. by using the approved and standard programming languages of ICT department.

  6. Responsible in the development of systems and portals according to the set standards and requirement of the ValueCare approved projects using the standard programming languages and applications of ICT Department.

  7. Should be responsible in studying the structure and designs of all existing systems and portals of ValueCare

  8. Should report immediately to the supervisor, if in case discrepancies and anomalies was discovered in the systems.

  9. Implement fixes and debugging to correct data having issues.

  10. Has the responsibility to provide insights and analysis in system development projects.

  11. Should comply to rules and regulations of Data Privacy Act.

  12. Should corresponds to inquiries and reports via standard communication platforms of ValueCare, especially if the inquiry or concern is addressed to him/her.

  13. Does all approved requests of clients with regards to System Development such as Web/System based forms, Data migration and integration.

  14. Reports to the Manager all encountered issues and should be aligned with the Supervisor or In-charged officer.

  15. Should comply with the standards and requirements of other ICT sections and other departments of ValueCare.

  16. Promotes the in-house systems of ValueCare to the end users, and

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a graduate of BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering or any related courses.
  • Knowledge in programming languages such as HTML, PHP, Java, Bootstrap, Web Programming languages such as SQL.
  • Knowledge in Laravel and other advanced programming languages is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in Content Management Systems such as WordPress.
  • Knowledge in API is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge in Server Configuration and Networking.
  • Basic knowledge in Database Structuring, Mapping and Integration.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
