About the Role

We're looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to build and lead our email marketing efforts from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to establish and own the email marketing function for hospitality clients who currently do not have a formal structure in place. You'll be responsible for centralizing and streamlining email communications, designing automated journeys, and driving performance through data-led strategy and compelling content.

This role requires someone who is both strategic and hands-on—comfortable setting up systems, creating processes, and executing campaigns while collaborating closely with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement a scalable email marketing framework from the ground up
  • Build a leads list through manual lead scraping or via tools
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and general email best practices
  • Develop automation flows and lifecycle campaigns to nurture customer journeys
  • Create and manage content calendars, campaign schedules, and send cadences
  • Segment audiences and personalise messaging based on data and user behaviour
  • Monitor and report on key metrics such as open rates, CTR, and conversions
  • Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to produce engaging email content

Competencies and Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • At least 3 years of experience as an Email Marketing Specialist or Email Marketing Manager
  • Proven experience setting up email marketing programs from scratch
  • Proficiency with platforms such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, or Go High Level
  • Experience with lead scraping and generation
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, automation, and lifecycle marketing
  • Ability to write compelling, brand-aligned copy for different audience segments
  • Experience tracking and optimising campaign performance (open rates, CTR, conversions)
  • Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and customer journey mapping
  • Familiarity with using AI tools to streamline and enhance campaign efficiency

Nice-to-Have:

  • Background in hospitality, lifestyle, or consumer-focused industries
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for email formatting and troubleshooting
  • Degree in Marketing, Digital Communications, or a related field
  • Experience integrating email with broader digital marketing funnels or CRM platforms
