About the role

CITEM, a government agency responsible for promoting Philippine exports, is seeking a talented and dedicated Accountant to join our dynamic team. This full-time role, based in Pasay City, Metro Manila, will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial integrity and reporting of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Process and record all financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other financial accounts on a regular basis
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial information and support
  • Ensure all financial records and documentation are properly maintained and accessible
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the public sector or a government agency
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
