Responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that municipal finances are accurate and up to date, the staff is paid in a timely and appropriate manner and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

  • Perform the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that municipal finances are maintained in an effective, up-to-date, and accurate manner.
  • Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
  • Verify if transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Prepare batches of invoices for data entry and encode invoices for payment
  • Process backup reports after data entry
  • Process and monitor petty cash, reimbursement, and liquidation of cash advances.
  • Maintain a listing of accounts payable, general ledger and inventory files.
  • Maintain an updated database of vendors with complete information including contact details
  • Provide administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations
  • Maintain a filing system for all financial documents

Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Accountancy or Management Accounting
  • Excellent communication skill (both oral and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and accounting software such as SAP system.
  • Flexible to work hours in order to complete tasks in required timely manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced environment
