Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable specialist is responsible for processing and posting all accounts payable documents, generating accounts payable checks and ACH, reconciling expense reports, and researching other accounts payable issues. This position is also responsible for monitoring the trade and accrual AP reports for aging items and for resolving these items or providing explanations as to why they are outstanding. This role will be based in the Philippines and will support U.S.-based vendors and customers.
Process all vendor invoices and match with receiving documents.
Post vendor invoices to ERP system.
Audit, reconcile and post expense reports.
Prepare accounts payable checks and ACH on a weekly basis.
Maintain accurate electronic vendor files.
Research and resolve accounts payable inquiries and discrepancies with U.S.-based vendors and internal stakeholders.
Monitor trade and accrual AP reports for aging items.
Research/resolve all aged AP items.
Collaborate with U.S.-based vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth AP operations.
Prepare monthly accrual journal entries and reversing journal entries.
Other responsibilities assigned by Accounting Manager or management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 2- 5 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably with international stakeholders.
Understanding of the internal flow of transactions through Accounts Payable from inventory, fixed asset, prepaid, expense report and standard expense purchases.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus.
Experience with Certify or similar expense reporting platforms a strong plus.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, basic reporting; pivot tables a plus).
Accounting Certification preferred but not required
Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and flexibility to collaborate across time zones.
Amenable to work on-site (night shift schedule).
