Head of People & Culture (Banking and Finance)

Location: Onsite – Philippines

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

As the Head of People & Culture, you will play a critical role in shaping the employee experience, building a strong workplace culture, and ensuring HR strategies align with our business objectives. You will oversee all aspects of the people agenda including talent acquisition, employee engagement, organizational development, compliance, and HR operations.

This is a senior leadership position that requires strong strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and the ability to partner closely with business leaders across geographies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the People & Culture strategy for the Philippines team, aligned with the company's global goals.
  • Partner with senior leadership to design organizational structures and workforce plans that support business growth.
  • Build a strong employer brand to attract top talent in the competitive banking and finance market.

Talent Management & Development

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for the pioneering PH team.
  • Establish learning and development frameworks to foster employee growth and career progression.
  • Implement performance management systems to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Create and sustain a positive, inclusive, and values-driven culture.
  • Design and implement employee engagement programs that support well-being, motivation, and retention.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for employees and leaders on workplace culture, employee relations, and conflict resolution.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee HR operations including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to the Philippines operation.

Change & Transformation

  • Support change management initiatives as the organization expands in the Philippines.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion programs to foster a progressive workplace.
  • Continuously review HR practices to ensure they are modern, agile, and effective.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10+ years of HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Strong background in banking, financial services, or shared services is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience establishing HR functions for pioneering or start-up operations.
  • Deep knowledge of Philippine labor laws, HR best practices, and cross-border workforce management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to be hands-on in execution.
