Job Description

The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing growth opportunities for Pepa Wings and its other food & beverage concepts. The role combines strategic planning, market research, partnership development, and sales initiatives to expand the company's footprint through franchising, commissary distribution, and new business ventures. The officer will work closely with management and cross-functional teams to ensure that all business development activities align with overall brand objectives and long-term sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities

Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct market studies to identify opportunities for expansion (franchising, commissary products, new brand launches).
  • Analyze competitor activities, industry trends, and consumer behavior to support strategic decision-making.
  • Recommend growth strategies based on data-driven insights.

Franchise Development & Expansion

  • Generate and manage franchise leads through various channels (expos, networking events, referrals, digital platforms).
  • Present franchise opportunities to prospective investors and guide them through the evaluation and application process.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance to assess site viability and investment returns.
  • Ensure alignment with franchise sales targets and company expansion goals.

Commissary & External Partnerships

  • Identify and secure external clients for commissary products (corporate accounts, distributors, institutional buyers, restaurant partners).
  • Develop business-to-business (B2B) partnerships that expand product reach.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure long-term client satisfaction.

New Concept Development

  • Collaborate with management on launching and positioning new brands or sub-brands.
  • Provide recommendations for menu innovations, product extensions, and packaging improvements based on market demand.
  • Explore joint ventures, licensing, and co-branding opportunities.

Relationship Building & Networking

  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, franchise expos, networking events, and conferences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees, corporate partners, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Act as a brand ambassador to strengthen company reputation and market presence.

Business Planning & Reporting

  • Develop business proposals, feasibility studies, and financial forecasts for potential projects.
  • Maintain a structured pipeline of leads and opportunities.
  • Track and report on business development activities, sales targets, and partnership outcomes to management.
  • Monitor KPIs for both franchise and commissary growth initiatives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php40,000.00 per month
