Company Lawyer (Remote – Philippines)

Overview

We are seeking a Company Lawyer based in the Philippines to provide comprehensive legal support for corporate operations and compliance matters. This is a part-time remote role that involves drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and supporting the organization in managing legal risks. The ideal candidate will be a licensed attorney with experience in corporate or contract law and strong English communication skills. BEST is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Compensation: $4-$5 per working hour, hours per month. Paid everything in USD.

Key Responsibilities

·      Provide legal advice on company matters, including contracts, partnerships, risk mitigation, and compliance

·      Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documents

·      Ensure company compliance with local and international laws relevant to operations, clients, and contractors

·      Conduct legal research and advise internal departments on regulatory changes and risks

·      Assist with internal governance policies and assist leadership on the legal implications of business strategies

·      Coordinate with outside counsel on specialized legal matters as required

·      Support internal audits and policy reviews related to HR, finance, and data privacy

·      Contribute to training efforts to enhance compliance awareness across departments

Required Skills and Qualifications

·      Juris Doctor (JD) degree or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and active bar membership in the Philippines

·      Minimum 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate, compliance, or contract law

·      Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for interacting with international stakeholders

·      Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation abilities

·      Familiarity with the Philippine legal system, business registration, labor law, and contract law

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management tools (e.g., DocuSign, Juro, CLM systems)

·      Proven ability to manage multiple legal projects in a remote setting independently

·      Discreet, ethical, and capable of handling confidential legal matters

Preferred Qualifications

·      Experience with U.S. business contracts or working with U.S.-based clients

·      Background in education, healthcare, or non-profit organizations

·      Knowledge of autism intervention and behavior management laws is a plus

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time position under a remote contractor agreement. Candidates must have access to a professional work-from-home environment and stable internet connectivity.
