
Port Operational Compliance Officer

Assignment: Port of Puerto Princesa
Qualifications:
- College graduate (preferably Engineering, ie. Industrial Engineering)
- At least 3 years of experience as a Manager/Supervisor (preferably related to port services)
- With good moral character
- Physically fit
Key Responsibilities:
- Recommends to the Branch Manager measures to ensure compliance with internal
policies, Code of Conduct, and regulatory requirements (PPA, ISO, IMS, safety, and
health).
- Conducts compliance checks, audits, and monitoring activities to support decision-
making.
Documents and facilitates quarterly Management Review activities.
Recommends to the Branch Manager strategies in planning, monitoring, and evaluating
branch operations with a focus on compliance and efficiency.
Prepares draft reports, feasibility studies, and compliance-related documentation for the Branch Manager's review.
Keeps the Branch Manager updated on compliance concerns, risks, and operational gaps.
Recommends to the Branch Manager appropriate actions in identifying risks and
implementing preventive/corrective measures.
- Provides recommendations in resolving compliance issues, personnel concerns, and
operational irregularities.
- Recommends programs to promote compliance awareness and on-the-job training for
branch employees.
Recommends approaches for liaising with regulatory agencies, public/private institutions, and industry partners on compliance-related matters.
Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth compliance
processes.
- Provides recommendations to the Branch Manager and Department Officers on
compliance and operational affairs.
Recommends measures to ensure that branch facilities and equipment meet compliance standards.
Performs other tasks as may be assigned to support the Branch Manager.
