We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our team at Intercare. As our new accounting officer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial records and tax filings.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

  • Record, review, and reconcile general ledger entries (fixed assets, bank accounts, income/expense allocations, accruals, prepayments, month-end adjustments).
  • Maintain accurate accounting records aligned with policies, controls, and PFRS/IFRS standards.
  • Reconcile bank, intercompany, petty cash, and credit card accounts.
  • Assist in month-end/year-end closings, financial reports, and clinic performance analysis.
  • Support financial statement and management report preparation.
  • Manage the fixed asset register (capitalization, tagging, depreciation).
  • Coordinate with auditors and support internal/external reviews.
  • Perform other related accounting tasks as needed.

Taxation

  • Prepare, review, and file all required tax returns (VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, etc.) in compliance with BIR deadlines.
  • Coordinate with tax authorities on inquiries, assessments, and audits.
  • Monitor BIR/SEC updates and assist in policy adjustments.
  • Support tax planning and identify savings/efficiency opportunities.
  • Maintain organized tax documentation and manage e-filing/e-payment submissions.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field; 2–4 years experience in accounting/taxation.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP/PFRS/IFRS.
  • Proficient in accounting systems (Xero, Peachtree, SAP, QuickBooks) and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work under deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in shared services or multi-branch accounting.
  • Knowledge of BIR rulings, tax compliance, and government e-filing systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing tax regulations.
