About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mandarin-speaking HR Manager to oversee the full spectrum of Human Resources operations within our Manila office. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and compliance skills, with a deep understanding of HR practices in the Philippines and an ability to bridge communication between Chinese and Filipino teams.
This role plays a critical part in building a high-performing, compliant, and engaged workforce, supporting business growth in the fast-paced iGaming and online casino sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, training, and HR administration.
- Act as a cultural bridge, ensuring clear communication and alignment between Mandarin-speaking management and local staff.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with Philippine labor laws and industry standards.
- Partner with business leaders to identify talent needs and design recruitment strategies for technical, operational, and customer-facing roles.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture in a competitive industry.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth employee lifecycle management.
- Provide guidance on sensitive employee matters, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor market trends in compensation and advise on competitive salary structures.
- Liaise with government agencies and ensure compliance with statutory requirements (DOLE, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, etc.).
- Support regional HR projects and corporate directives from headquarters.
Requirements
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken & written) and strong English communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- ~5 years' HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity;
- iGaming, online entertainment, or BPO experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of Philippine labour law, statutory benefits, and HR compliance.
- Proven experience in employee engagement, recruitment, and conflict resolution.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to manage multicultural teams in a dynamic environment.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
