Accounting Assistant

Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant supports the finance and accounting department in daily operations such as recording transactions, processing payments, maintaining financial records, and assisting in the preparation of reports. The role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timely handling of financial documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and encode financial transactions into accounting systems.
- Prepare, process, and file invoices, vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
- Assist in accounts payable (bills, supplier payments) and accounts receivable (collection monitoring).
- Perform bank deposits and assist in reconciling bank statements.
- Support payroll preparation and related documentation.
- Monitor and replenish petty cash fund with proper documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of accounting records.
- Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding billing and payments.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Accounting Officer/Manager.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Experience in accounting or clerical work is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Honest, reliable, and able to handle confidential information.
Work Conditions:
