About the Role:
We are looking for a
skilled and reliable Accountant / Bookkeeper
to manage the company's accounting operations, payroll, and government compliance. The role is primarily
remote
, but the successful candidate must be able to
visit government offices when necessary
for business registration, renewal, or other compliance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management:
Prepare employee payroll, compute mandatory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), and issue payslips to employees. - Accounting Records:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation. - Customer Transactions:
Send transaction receipts and invoices to customers in a timely manner. - Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and other financial summaries. - Tax Preparation:
Handle quarterly and annual tax filings, including VAT, income tax, and withholding tax returns. - Government Coordination:
- Manage business registration and renewal with BIR, DTI, and the local government.
- Personally visit government offices when required for filings, submissions, or renewals.
- Audit Support:
Prepare necessary documents for audit and ensure compliance with local accounting standards. - Owner Support:
Manage accounting records for other related businesses of the owner when assigned. - Efficiency & Timeliness:
Ensure all reports, payments, and filings are submitted on time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and government reporting systems (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, LGU).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Preferably based in or near
Taguig City
for ease of government coordination.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience preparing and coordinating audits.
- Familiarity with online government submission tools such as eBIRForms, SSS R3/R5, and PhilHealth portals.
- Ability to handle multiple accounts or businesses concurrently.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience and performance.
