Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM US Time zone

Overview

As a Permit Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of the permitting process. You'll be responsible for coordinating and tracking permits through all stages, reviewing design drawings, and ensuring compliance with city, county, and state requirements. This role offers opportunities for growth, with additional training provided for handling downstream tasks once core responsibilities are mastered.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track incoming requests as the design phase is completed for jobs.
  • Review design drawings to determine project scope, location, and corresponding permitting requirements.
  • Complete permit qualifications and maintain live tracking for each job through completion.
  • Submit permit applications for construction projects.
  • Track and manage the lifecycle of permits, including changes or revisions.
  • Communicate and coordinate with city, county, and state municipalities regarding permitting activities.
  • Understand and apply relevant permitting codes, policies, and regulations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and ensure all permit-related data is accurately recorded.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely processing of permit requests.
  • Once trained, take on additional downstream permitting and project coordination tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3 years of progressively challenging experience in permitting or a related administrative field.
  • Proven ability to review design drawings and determine permitting scope and requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the permitting process, including submission, tracking, and lifecycle management.
  • Ability to learn and apply city, county, and state permitting rules and guidelines.
  • Experience managing multiple permits simultaneously across different project phases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or similar PDF editors.
  • Experience with Oracle is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow with additional training and responsibilities.
