Job Summary
The HR Officer – Compensation and Employee Relations is responsible for administering compensation and benefits programs, managing payroll, and fostering positive employee relations. This role ensures compliance with labor laws, supports employee engagement, and promotes a productive and harmonious workplace.
Responsibilities
Compensation and Benefits
- Administer the company's compensation programs, including salary reviews, bonuses, and incentives.
- Develop and implement compensation strategies that align with industry standards and company goals.
- Conduct regular salary benchmarking to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.
- Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and employee perks.
- Provide employees with information about their compensation and benefits packages and address any inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with statutory benefits requirements, including government-mandated benefits (e.g., SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth).
- Enroll new employees in health and life insurance and government-mandated benefits such as SSS, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth.
- Compute payroll on a semi-monthly basis using the company-approved HR system.
- Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Develop and communicate policies related to compensation and benefits to employees and management.
Employee Relations
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries, policies, and procedures.
- Provide timely, consistent, and practical advice to employees and managers on employee relations issues.
- Resolve employee grievances and conflicts in a fair and impartial manner, ensuring that proper documentation is maintained.
- Promote and implement initiatives to boost employee engagement, morale, and retention.
- Assist in the development and execution of employee recognition programs to highlight outstanding performance.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve employee retention strategies.
- Organize and facilitate team-building activities, company events, and employee wellness programs.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and workplace regulations.
- Support the development and communication of employee relations policies and procedures.
- Draft memoranda related to employee relations, such as disciplinary actions, policy updates, and grievance resolutions
- Assist in the monitoring and review of employee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support performance management and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in compensation and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Conflict management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; HRIS experience is a plus.
