Position Title: Department Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Department Assistant who is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English to

provide comprehensive administrative support and essential translation/interpretation services within the department. The

ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced

multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support

  2. Manage the department head's calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate internal and external meetings.

  3. Prepare, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents in both English and

Mandarin.

  • Performance Enablement: Drive the performance management and talent review processes within the department,

ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and local practice.

  1. Translation and Interpretation

  2. Provide accurate and timely translation of business, technical, and general documents from English to Mandarin and

Mandarin to English.

  • Offer consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conference calls, and departmental events

involving English and Mandarin speakers.

  • Assist in the preparation of materials for meetings with international partners, ensuring cultural and linguistic

appropriateness.

  1. Department Coordination

  2. Coordinate logistics for department events, workshops, and training sessions.

  3. Liaise with internal departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Legal) and external stakeholders, bridging communication across

language barriers.

Qualifications:

  1. Native or near-native fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and verbal).

  2. Proven experience as an administrative assistant, department assistant, or in a similar role.

  3. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively.

  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  5. Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php60, Php80,000.00 per month
