Corner Cafe – Job Description

Position Title: Barista Intern / OJT

Reports To: Store Supervisor / Cafe Manager

Location: Corner Cafe Sto. Domingo, Quezon City

Position Summary

The Barista Intern/OJT will support the daily operations of Corner Cafe, assisting in beverage preparation, customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in Hospitality Management, Food and Service Management, or related studies, who are completing their required On-the-Job Training (OJT) hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages according to Corner Cafe's quality standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders, answering menu questions, and handling customer inquiries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café workstations, equipment, and dining area.
  • Assist in restocking ingredients, supplies, and merchandise as needed.
  • Learn and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Support café team in daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Participate in product knowledge training to enhance skills and understanding of café operations.
  • Assist in basic cashiering and order processing.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university program in Hospitality Management, Food and Service Management, or related studies.
  • Must require completion of OJT hours as part of academic curriculum.
  • Passion for coffee, beverages, and customer service.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

OJT Learning Opportunities

  • Hands-on training in barista skills and beverage preparation.
  • Exposure to customer service best practices in a café setting.
  • Understanding of café operations, including inventory, sanitation, and merchandising.
  • Development of teamwork, time management, and multitasking skills.

Work Schedule

  • Schedule will follow OJT requirements and café operational needs.
  • May include weekends and holidays.

Allowance & Benefits (if applicable)

  • Allowance subject to company policy.
  • Certificate of Completion upon fulfilling OJT requirements.

Job Type: OJT (On the job training)

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Php3,000.00 per month
