F&B TEAM LEADER

A Food and Beverage (F&B) Team Leader plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of a restaurant, hotel, or catering service. Their qualifications typically include a mix of education, experience, and skills.

Educational Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field (preferred)
  • Certifications (depending on location):
  • Food safety and hygiene (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP)
  • Alcohol service certification

Professional Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in F&B service roles (e.g., server, bartender, host)
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or team leader experience in F&B
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, resorts, or catering
  • Multilingual abilities (useful in international or tourist-heavy locations)
  • Experience with event planning or banqueting
  • Barista or mixology skills (for beverage-focused roles)
