Position Overview:

The Service Crew is a flexible team member responsible for delivering high-quality customer service by performing both front-of-house duties (e.g., cashiering, order dispatch) and back-of-house tasks (e.g., food prep, kitchen assistance). This role ensures efficient kitchen operations, maintains cleanliness and hygiene standards, and supports sales by ensuring prompt order processing and product availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Front-of-House (Cashiering & Order Dispatch):

  • Accurately process customer transactions using the POS system and issue official receipts.
  • Update inventory on Alfred and other third-party platforms to reflect item availability.
  • Manage receipt organization, records, and assist with simple administrative tasks.

Back-of-House (Kitchen & Food Preparation):

  • Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to set recipes and quality standards.
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment and ensure proper upkeep of tools.
  • Ensure consistent food quality, accurate portions, and proper presentation.
  • Keep all work areas clean and sanitized in line with health and safety standards.

Team & Operational Support:

  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and order dispatch.
  • Support day-to-day operations while adhering to CQSMA principles (Cleanliness, Quality, Service, Maintenance, Atmosphere).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Accuracy and proper issuance of receipts
  • Speed and efficiency in order dispatch
  • Contribution to kitchen productivity and prep times
  • Adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Effective collaboration and communication with the team

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced food service or kitchen environment
  • Familiar with POS systems, kitchen tools, and basic cooking techniques
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, including 6-day workweeks
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy items
  • Knowledgeable in proper food safety and sanitation practices
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask under pressure
