Senior Accountant (US-GAAP)

Work Set-up: Permanent Work From Home

Schedule: Night Shift

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who will take ownership of the month-end closing process and review financial statements under US-GAAP to ensure accuracy and completeness. This role will handle the full accounting and financial reporting for two smaller companies within the group—focused on consumer sales, franchise sales, and royalty collection—as well as oversee Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and analysis (by company, product, and territory).
  • Support month-end and hard-close activities, ensuring accuracy of balance sheets and expenses.
  • Create reporting workpapers and accounting calculations tailored to business needs.
  • Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and inter-company reconciliations.
  • Handle Lease Accounting (ASC-842), Fixed Assets management, and depreciation.
  • Manage collections and schedule supplier payments.
  • Maintain up-to-date processes and procedures for financial operations.
  • Research authoritative accounting literature for compliance.
  • Participate in bilingual meetings (English/Spanish).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of related accounting experience (US-GAAP).
  • Strong knowledge of integrated accounting systems (Epicor, Netsuite, SAP).
  • Expertise in Consolidation Accounting and FSAB; audit experience preferred.
  • Experience in the consumer products industry is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting.
  • English and Spanish proficiency required
