Position Overview

The Google AppSheet Platform Administrator is responsible for the governance, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's AppSheet environment. This role ensures that business applications built on AppSheet meet performance, security, and compliance standards while enabling rapid, user-driven innovation. The administrator partners with citizen developers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the platform delivers scalable and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Administration & Governance

• Manage AppSheet licenses, user access, roles, and permissions.

• Define and enforce governance standards, data policies, and usage guidelines.

• Monitor platform usage and ensure compliance with corporate security and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain documentation of standards, templates, and approved application patterns.

Configuration & Optimization

• Configure AppSheet platform settings for optimal performance and security.

• Monitor application health, usage metrics, and integration performance.

• Recommend and implement improvements to enhance platform efficiency and usability.

User Enablement & Support

• Serve as the primary point of contact for AppSheet platform-related questions and issues.

• Provide onboarding, guidance, and training for citizen developers and business users.

• Review and approve application deployments to ensure alignment with standards.

• Support troubleshooting of application errors, data connectivity issues, and integration failures.

Integration & Data Management

• Oversee integration of AppSheet apps with Google Workspace, databases, and other enterprise systems.

• Ensure proper data structure, integrity, and security across applications.

• Manage connectors, APIs, and automation workflows as required.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Stay current on AppSheet capabilities, updates, and best practices.

• Advocate for new use cases and help departments identify automation opportunities.

• Work closely with IT to align AppSheet solutions with enterprise architecture and digital transformation goals.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 2–4 years of experience in application administration, low-code/no-code platforms, or enterprise SaaS systems.

• Experience with Google Workspace administration and integrations preferred.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of AppSheet platform features, security settings, and governance.

• Familiarity with data management principles, including relational databases and Google Sheets.

• Knowledge of workflow automation and integration concepts (APIs, webhooks, connectors).

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Google AppSheet Certification (if available) or equivalent platform-specific training.

• Google Workspace Administrator Certification – preferred.

• ITIL Foundation or equivalent process management certification – desirable.
