Director of Accounting

We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting (CPA) to join our leadership team. The Director will oversee client service delivery, manage a team of accounting professionals, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. This is a client-facing leadership role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, U.S. GAAP knowledge, and the ability to manage both client relationships and internal teams across multiple geographies

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting (CPA) to join our leadership team. The Director will oversee client service delivery, manage a team of accounting professionals, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

This is a client-facing leadership role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, U.S. GAAP knowledge, and the ability to manage both client relationships and internal teams across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of managers, accountants, and bookkeepers to deliver high-quality accounting services to U.S. clients.
• Manage team performance to ensure accuracy, compliance, and client satisfaction.
• Serve as a primary advisor to clients on accounting and financial matters, including complex transactions.
• Develop and implement best practices for scalable service delivery and process improvements.
• Oversee and review client financials, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with leadership on staffing, client growth, and firm strategy.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and relevant client-specific requirements.
• Utilize modern accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, , Gusto, Karbon) to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• CPA designation (required).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and advisory.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire teams across geographies.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to influence executives and decision-makers.
• Advanced technical skills in accounting systems: QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, , Gusto, Karbon, Excel, Office365.
