Job Summary:

The Pharmacist / FDA Regulatory Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring that all imported Korean food products comply with Philippine FDA regulations and other relevant government requirements. This position is responsible for managing the registration, licensing, and certification of food products, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and coordinating with regulatory agencies. The role also involves monitoring the importation process, documentation, and quality compliance to ensure smooth product distribution in the market.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & FDA Licensing

  • Ensure that all imported Korean food products comply with FDA food safety and labeling requirements.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documents for LTO (License to Operate), CPR (Certificate of Product Registration), and other food-related FDA permits.
  • Monitor and process renewals of licenses, registrations, and permits to avoid operational disruptions.
  • Coordinate with the FDA, BFAD, DOH, Bureau of Customs (BOC), and other agencies for product clearance and approval.
  • Stay updated on the latest FDA regulations, food safety standards, and importation guidelines affecting the company's products.

Product Registration & Documentation

  • Handle the registration and certification of Korean food products under FDA regulations.
  • Ensure that all product labels, ingredients, and nutritional information comply with Philippine food laws.
  • Maintain an organized regulatory database of all food products, licenses, and approvals.
  • Work closely with the importation and logistics team to ensure timely clearance of shipments.

Quality Assurance & Food Safety Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and food safety standards in the storage, handling, and distribution of Korean food products.
  • Conduct internal compliance checks to ensure that food products meet FDA-mandated food quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in staff training on food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.

Communication & Liaison

  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and FDA, Customs, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries and assist in FDA inspections or audits.

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist in product recalls, market withdrawals, and compliance reporting.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend regulatory improvements to management.
  • Support the marketing team by ensuring that product advertisements and promotional materials comply with food labeling and advertising regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with a valid PRC license.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in FDA regulatory affairs, food compliance, or importation regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, BFAD guidelines, and food product registration.
  • Experience in handling LTO, CPR, FDA submissions, and importation compliance.
  • Familiarity with Korean food products and their ingredients is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
