Job Title: Regulatory Specialist
Department: Legal & Compliance
Reports To: Legal Manager / Legal Director
Location: West McKinley, Taguig City
Position Summary
The Regulatory Specialist is responsible for managing all regulatory compliance requirements, including securing and renewing licenses and permits, ensuring adherence to environmental laws, and monitoring compliance with industry-specific regulations. This role serves as the company's point of contact with local government units (LGUs), regulatory bodies, and agencies such as PAGCOR and the BIR, ensuring that all operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Permitting and LGU Applications
- Secure, update, and renew all necessary business permits and licenses within set timelines.
- Liaise with local government units for all permitting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, particularly for hotels, restaurants, and related amenities.
2. PAGCOR Compliance
- Monitor changes in gaming regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure full compliance with PAGCOR licensing requirements and reportorial obligations.
- Maintain proper documentation of all PAGCOR-related filings and communications.
3. BIR Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations applicable to company operations.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of necessary tax-related documents in coordination with the Finance Department.
4. Regulatory Monitoring and Coordination
- Track and maintain a compliance calendar to monitor all regulatory deadlines and renewal dates.
- Prepare compliance reports and updates for management review.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather information and ensure timely submission of requirements to regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Legal Management, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, permitting, or related functions.
- Knowledge of LGU processes, PAGCOR regulations, BIR compliance requirements, and environmental laws.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for dealing with government agencies.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and document management.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
