JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Junior Technical Engineer takes the lead in the implementations and maintenance of PTSI's Customers across various locations to ensure that its users can easily access mission-critical applications. The individual must be able to troubleshoot the issues at both the Server and PC levels.
  • Configuring and managing of servers of different operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, or Linux, including fixing of issues and upgrading while implementing enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
  • They also design, implement, and manage Enterprise System Technologies
  • Must be familiar with Cloud Solutions, virtualization software, such as VMWare and Hyper-V, scripting and VDI Solutions
  • Server Engineers will have to keep learning new technologies to be useful to both PTSI and external Customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the support of technologies such as Active Directory, Hyper-V, VMWare, and other software and applications related to Server.
  • Must be able to take care of Server environment, which includes installing new servers, taking out servers, and fixing issues with existing servers.
  • Must be able to help Customers in tackling specific server related issues and upgrades.
  • Travel to Customer locations for the implementation of provided solutions, respond to incidents, issues, and or change requests.
  • Perform software and hardware break/fix as necessary.
  • Will lead the deployments of Customer IT Server infrastructures and provide strategies to support Customer business plans related to the provided solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's / College Degree, Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
  • Should have a thorough understanding of patching tools and security vulnerability scanning.
  • At least 2 years of handling support and implementations of Servers
  • Knowledge on virtualization software (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc) is a must
  • Experience handling Lenovo, Dell, and/or HPE Servers and solutions is an advantage.
  • Willing to be trained and keep learning new technologies
  • Willing to start as soon as possible.
  • Candidate must possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • They must be ready working flexible work hours and adhere to deadlines to complete certain projects
