Job Description

· Create detailed design drawings, schedules, fabrication drawings, calculations, and other deliverables to ensure clarity, completeness, and quality in design output and compliance with project specifications, man-hour budget, and schedule.

· Prepare and review plans, construction drawings, cost estimates, and specifications before actual construction begins.

· Estimate material, labor, or civil/structural costs for budget preparation.

· Create Bill of Materials, Bill of Quantity, and technical reports.

· Conduct site inspections/surveys prior to structural design to ensure that work is in accordance with the site conditions and client specifications.

· Supervise or train project team members in relation to civil/structural design.

· Perform other tasks as required by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer or its equivalent
  • Support Resident Engineer/Project Manager with the preparation and maintenance of construction schedules.
  • Process material's acceptance letters.
  • Preparing material, equipment and labor cost estimates and confirming costs are within the budget
  • Establish and maintain shop drawings, working drawings and submittals.
  • Review and monitor contractor payroll and insurance documentation.
  • Prepare final documents. Ensuring project documentation is processed in timely manner and is retrievable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
