The Environment Officer develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates environmental protection and enhancement programs to ensure compliance with the organization's environmental standards, directives, and applicable government regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements environmental programs focused on managing the environmental impacts of operational processes and activities.
  • Provides technical expertise in pollution monitoring and control to ensure full compliance with local environmental regulations and supports continuous adherence to regulatory and industry standards.
  • Serves as the designated Pollution Control Officer (PCO), ensuring compliance with environmental laws and providing input during the planning and execution of capital and operational projects.
  • Prepares required environmental reports and supports management decisions through the provision of accurate and timely environmental data.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with regulators, local government units, government agencies, and non-government organizations to support regulatory compliance and foster a positive reputation for the organization.
  • Ensures the proper operation and maintenance of pollution control systems and monitoring equipment through coordination with relevant departments.
  • Acts as the organization's Waste Manager in compliance with internal waste management standards. Responsibilities include planning and implementing safe waste disposal strategies, managing related budgets, and ensuring all activities comply with environmental laws and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of BS Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Must be a Licensed Engineer.
  • Must have a Pollution Control Officer III Certification
  • At least three (3) years of experience in an industrial or related technical environment
  • Preferably with knowledge and experience in Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) operation and maintenance, pollution control monitoring equipment, and enterprise systems such as MAC or SAP
