The Inventory and Warehouse Manager oversees the efficient receipt, storage, management, and dispatch of goods. They ensure stock accuracy, proper organization, and smooth flow of inventory to support sales, operations, and customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management

Monitor stock levels, maintain accurate records, and prevent shortages or overstocking.

Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.

Implement inventory control systems (manual or digital).

  1. Warehouse Operations

Supervise receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.

Ensure warehouse layout maximizes space and efficiency.

Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in the warehouse.

  1. Staff Supervision

Lead and train warehouse staff (storekeepers, pickers, loaders).

Assign tasks and monitor performance.

Enforce company policies and standard operating procedures.

  1. Process & Systems

Use inventory management software or ERP systems.

Develop SOPs for warehouse and inventory handling.

Coordinate with procurement, sales, and operations teams for stock planning.

  1. Cost & Loss Control

Reduce wastage, shrinkage, and pilferage.

Control storage costs and optimize resource usage.

Track damaged or expired goods and create reports.

  1. Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Maintain proper documentation for audits.

Oversee security of warehouse premises.


Skills Needed
