Your Next Challenge

Be part of our client's team as an Accountant, where you will manage daily cash operations, record purchases, validate sales invoices, and maintain accurate ERP data. You will collaborate with commercial and accounting teams, ensure compliance, and deliver timely financial reports to support smooth operations and informed business decisions.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 2+ years of experience working as an Accountant
• Ability to communicate with non-financial teams
• Comfort working independently and cross-functionally
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, skilled in pivot tables, formulas, charts, and data manipulation techniques to support complex analysis
• Familiarity with SAGE ERP or equivalent systems
• Strong attention to detail, consistently producing accurate and thorough work
• Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting data and identifying types of transactions and accounts for recording
• Curiosity, with the ability and willingness to perform independent analysis to better understand transactions
• Experience in report development across multiple platforms, including ERP tools and business intelligence software
• Understanding of business processes and financial reporting, aligning operational activities with business objectives
• Familiarity with financial systems to support data extraction, integration, and analysis
• Preferred certification: French speaking

What You'll Do

Cash Management

• Download and review bank statements for all company accounts
• Identify and classify cash-in and cash-out transactions
• Collaborate with France Sales Team and accounting teams to resolve unidentified or unusual transactions via Excel tagging
• Reconcile bank statements daily against ERP records
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Maintain reconciliation logs for audit purposes

Cash Recording

• Record all cash-in and cash-out transactions in SAGE under correct accounts and cost centers
• Post transactions timely to avoid delays in financial reporting

Purchase Transaction Recording

• Match goods receipts with purchase invoices and verify accuracy
• Record purchase transactions in SAGE after validating supporting documents
• Flag and resolve mismatches between receipts and invoices with procurement or suppliers

Sales Invoice Validation

• Validate invoice accuracy before transferring to the accounting module
• Monitor invoice status and follow up on pending validations

Accounting Updates

• Post customer payments and supplier settlements in SAGE
• Ensure synchronization between commercial and accounting modules for accurate reporting

Regulatory Compliance

• Prepare and upload import/export documentation on government portals
• Maintain compliance records for audits and regulatory inspections

Reporting

• Prepare and distribute daily sales reports to France and UK managers
• Analyze sales trends and highlight anomalies or variances

Controlling Tools Maintenance

• Update controlling files with new data and formulas as required
• Ensure accuracy of KPIs and financial dashboards used by management

Database Management

• Clean and update customer and supplier records in SAGE and Salesforce
• Merge duplicate entries and ensure data integrity across systems

Timeliness and Accuracy

• Work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs
• Prioritize tasks to meet daily and monthly closing requirements

Other Job Duties and KPIs

• Investigate 100% of bank reconciliation discrepancies within 24 hours; close investigations within 2 weeks
• Maintain zero posting errors per month for cash transactions
• Record all purchase transactions within 48 hours of goods receipt
• Validate and transfer 100% of invoices within 24 hours of generation
• Meet all deadlines for import/export documentation
• Deliver daily sales report by 09:30 AM local time
• Conduct quarterly database audits with less than 1% data errors
