As we continue to grow our presence at The Orchid Gardens and expand our catering capabilities, we are looking for a Head Chef who blends traditional Kapampangan mastery with modern kitchen systems.If you are a leader who can maintain the integrity of a Begukan while optimizing food costs and labor efficiency, we want to talk to you.Primary ResponsibilitiesSystematization: Standardize heritage recipes into formal SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure 100% consistency across all shifts.Menu Engineering: Periodically review the menu to introduce seasonal Kapampangan specials and optimize high-margin items.Catering & Events: Oversee culinary execution for large-scale banquets, weddings, and corporate events held within the Orchid Gardens complex.Financial Management: Take full ownership of the kitchen P&L; implement strict waste-reduction programs and inventory tracking.Staff Development: Build a professional training program for junior cooks, elevating the skill level of the entire "back-of-house" team.Vendor Management: Source the freshest local produce, meats, and seafood, ensuring we support Pampanga's local farmers while maintaining quality standards.RequirementsTrack Record: 5+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment.Cuisine Expertise: A deep-rooted understanding of Central Luzon/Kapampangan flavors.Profitability Targets: Responsibility for maintaining an actual food cost percentage within the 28% – 32% range.Inventory Control: Lead the weekly and monthly inventory counts; implement a strict FIFO (First-In, First-Out) system to eliminate spoilage and over-ordering.Leadership Style: A "Lead by Example" approach—willing to jump on the line during peak Sunday rushes.Certifications: Degree in Culinary Management or similar; active Food Safety/HACCP certification.Palate Accuracy: Ability to maintain the "Lutong Imang Nene" profile consistently, ensuring every dish tastes like a Sunday family heirloom meal.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per monthBenefits:Additional leaveEmployee discountOn-site parkingOpportunities for promotionPromotion to permanent employeeStaff meals providedWork Location: In person
