PSSLAI is a leading financial institution dedicated to serving the public safety sector, providing tailored savings, loans, and financial solutions. As we continue to innovate and grow, we seek a visionary IT Group Head to lead our technology strategy and ensure seamless alignment between business objectives and IT capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates all aspects of PSSLAI's IT operations to ensure that the operations run smoothly and according to the direction set by the Chairman.
  • Implements the policies and procedures, programs and projects as laid down by the Chairman and the Executive Vice President to ensure that the managers follow and carry out the required activities to achieve the goals and objectives of the Association

Strategic IT Leadership

  • Develop and execute a technology roadmap that supports business growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance (i.e., BSP regulations)
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance member experience, streamline processes, and modernize core banking systems (e.g., loan management, savings products).
  • Align IT investments with the Association's financial goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness and measurable ROI.

Business Applications & Systems Management

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of core banking systems, fintech integrations, and custom applications tailored to the public safety sector.
  • Collaborate with business units (e.g., Treasury/Finance, Risk, Operations) to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Ensure robust data governance and analytics frameworks to support decision-making and regulatory reporting.

Technology Services & Infrastructure Oversight

  • Oversee and Manage the Association's IT infrastructure (on-premises/cloud), ensuring 9/5 availability, and scalability.
  • Optimize help desk operations to resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime for branches and internal teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Innovation

  • Partner with senior leadership to identify technology-driven opportunities for product development and market expansion.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., AI, blockchain, API banking) for relevance to the financial sector and pilot innovative solutions.
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors, regulators, and industry partners to stay ahead of compliance and technological trends.

Team Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and mentor of two departments: Business Systems and Development (developers, analysts) and Technology Services
  • Establish KPIs, budget controls, and governance frameworks to ensure accountability and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's/Master's in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP, AWS/Azure) are a plus.
  • Experience:

  • 5-10 years in IT leadership roles, with 5+ years in the banking/financial services industry.

  • Proven expertise in core banking systems, ERP, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of financial regulations (BSP and AML)
  • Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to bridge technical and business needs.

  • Strong project management, vendor negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Passion for innovation and improving member-centric financial services.
