Role Description

The business development representatives will be based in Manila, and be the front line representing TLC Philippines, Australia and Singapore to identify, research, and open new opportunities across industries like Retail Brands, FMCG, QSR, Banking, Insurance, Telco, and known digital applications. As a Business Development Specialist, you'll start conversations with mid-senior marketers, tailor persona-led outreach, qualify interest, and secure high-value meetings for the BD team. You'll work a on focused hitlist, personalize provided messaging by role and industry, and fuel every interaction with research, category insight, and confident communication.

This role blends creativity, commercial curiosity and discipline. You'll craft compelling outreach, speak credibly to CMOs, Brand Directors, Marketing Directors, Digital Heads and CRM/Growth leads, and keep our CRM updated so no opportunity slips. You'll monitor category trends, competitor movements, campaign launches and emerging marketing technologies to bring informed, strategic value into every conversation. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive daily outbound outreach to contacts and warm prospects via phone, email (Outlook), Microsoft Teams, LinkedIn and other channels.
  • Research, identify and generate new opportunities within target accounts across FMCG, QSR, Banking, Telco and Digital Platforms.
  • Use and expand a target client hitlist aligned to company goals.
  • Craft personalized, compelling role- and industry-specific messaging using a flexible script.
  • Handle objections professionally and guide conversations toward booking a meeting.
  • Focus markets include Singapore, Philippines and Australia: leveraging local country insights and trends to improve relevance and engagement.
  • Conduct thorough prospects and brand research including recent activity, industry trends, competitors, decision-makers, buying processes and sector activity.
  • Maintain a sharp, on-brand LinkedIn profile and build a network aligned to target accounts.
  • Adopt new tools/platforms (Seamless, Apollo, LinkedIn, media websites) to source contacts for key roles and accounts.
  • Book high-quality meetings for the BD team with clear summaries of needs, potential value and next steps.
  • Follow up and nurture leads from sales/marketing initiatives (website, EDMs, mailers, content, events, etc.) through the funnel.
  • Use Microsoft Dynamics for updating prospects data, tracking and next actions.
  • Maintain accurate data and documentation to support reporting, forecasting and pipeline reviews to HQ.
  • Follow up consistently to improve meeting conversion and build strong client relationships.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Above 3 years of experience in telemarketing, sales or lead generation; B2B preferred.
  • Excellent English and Filipino (Tagalog) communication: clear, concise and persuasive.
  • Strong elevator pitch skills; able to communicate product value with clarity and impact.
  • Good understanding of brand and consumer trends in the Philippines (and ideally Australia or Singapore).
  • Fast learner with strong research skills; quickly grasps industries, business models and org structures.
  • Persuasive, client-focused communicator who builds rapport and uncovers needs.
  • Resilient, target-driven and comfortable with rejection.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and reliable with follow-ups and reporting.
  • Tech-savvy: Microsoft Dynamics, LinkedIn (ideally Sales Navigator/Premium), Microsoft Teams and similar prospecting tools.
  • Team player with integrity, professionalism, positivity and strong emotional intelligence.

What success looks like:

  • Activity: Consistent call/email/LinkedIn outreach volumes.
  • Quality: Meeting bookings with the right roles in target accounts.
  • Conversion: Lead-to-meeting and meeting-to-brief conversion rates.
  • Hygiene: CRM completeness and accuracy (Outreach notes/status, next steps, etc).
  • Positive Team Collaboration: Align strategy and sharing constructive feedback to continually refine messaging and targeting.
