About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, preparing payments, and ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date. You'll play an important part in supporting the company's financial operations and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice Processing

  • Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices accurately and on time.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
  • Record and code invoices correctly based on the company's chart of accounts.

Payments & Reconciliations

  • Prepare and process regular and ad-hoc payment runs.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all payables transactions.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist with month-end closing, including accruals and reports.
  • Generate reports such as aged payables and cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with GST and other tax regulations.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve invoice or payment issues.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth processing.
  • Provide regular updates to the Team Leader regarding progress or challenges.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
  • Proficient in accounting systems such as SAP (or similar software).
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines independently.

Preferred Experience

  • Handling high-volume invoice processing.
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems.
  • Understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
