Job Summary:
The Senior Sales Consultant is responsible for selling new and pre-owned vehicles while providing an exceptional customer experience. This role goes beyond entry-level sales by leveraging years of industry experience, product knowledge, and client relationships to meet or exceed dealership sales targets. The senior consultant is also expected to mentor junior sales staff and contribute to the overall success and reputation of the dealership. Key Responsibilities:Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly mannerUnderstand customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles and finance optionsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of dealership inventory, promotions, and manufacturer programsPresent and demonstrate vehicle features and benefits clearly and confidentlyNegotiate pricing and financing terms in alignment with dealership policiesAchieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goalsBuild and maintain long-term customer relationships to generate repeat and referral businessAssist in the onboarding and mentoring of junior sales staffMaintain accurate records using CRM tools and ensure timely follow-up with all leadsConduct trade-in evaluations and coordinate with appraisersEnsure all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with regulationsStay informed about market trends, competitor products, and industry developmentsAttend sales meetings, training sessions, and dealership events as required Qualifications:College graduate or Vocational course graduate3+ years of automotive sales experienceProven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targetsStrong interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesProficient in using CRM systems and dealership management softwareValid driver's license with a clean driving recordProfessional appearance and demeanor Preferred Skills:Bilingual abilities (a plus depending on dealership demographics)Experience with light trucks and pick-upsUnderstanding of automotive finance and leasing processesLeadership or mentorship experience Work Environment & Schedule:Fast-paced retail dealership environmentEvenings, weekends, and holidays may be requiredStanding, walking, and outdoor vehicle lot exposure throughout the day Compensation & Benefits:Base salary or draw plus commissionMonthly and annual performance bonusesHealth, dental, and vision insurance
