  • Assist in preparation of sandwiches, pastries, and light meals according to standard recipes
  • Lead Recipe Execution: Prepare meals according to set recipes and ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Support baristas in prepping ingredients (e.g. syrups, garnishes, milk) and maintaining cleanliness of the bar area
  • Menu Planning Adaptation: Help design menus, often adjusting recipes based on seasonal ingredients or dietary needs
  • Maintain Food Safety Standards: Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of ktchen equipment, utensils, and workstations, proper food handling, and compliance with health regulations is a major part of the job
  • Inventory and Supply Management: Assist in inventory checks and stock rotation (FIFO), order supplies, receive and organize deliveries and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
  • Follow daily prep lists and complete assigned tasks efficiently
  • Collaborative with Management: Work closely with management to align kitchen operations with broader goals
  • Support Cafe operations during peak hours by helping with bussing, dishwashing, or restocking as needed
  • Willingness to work across both café and lodging operations

Skills that Shine:

  • TESDA NCII in Cookery or equivalent
  • At least 1 year experience in a kitchen or Cafe setting preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended period s
  • Flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Accomodation assistance for non-local applicants
  • Willing to relocate or be assigned in San Juan, La Union
