Safety Aide - Cebu

JOB SUMMARY

Performs under the supervision of the Safety Aide. Assist in orienting newly hired employees on safety rules, regulations and procedures. Assist in investigation of very serious SHE related incidents involving company staff and provide inputs to prevent recurrence of incidents and ensures proper close out of an incidents. Performs first aid treatment to all employees that need immediate attention during accident. Conducts regular inspection of first aid accessories to perform functions well. Conducts regular visit to work site to see any abnormal conditions that may cause accident while working.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts first aid treatment to injured employee using the appropriate materials and standard treatment according to Philippine National Red Cross.
  • Inspects regularly all first aid kit and its accessories in order to prevent delay treating injured person.
  • Reports to Safety and Security Management Division any accident/incident that needed medical attention.
  • Conducts regular inspection of all necessary permits needed in their respective area of responsibility. Thus, informing concerned person for any requirements necessary to perform work.
  • Visits from time to time the work site for any unusual or hazards present in the area especially where employees are working.
  • Attends and/or participates on regular safety meetings within and/or outside the company.
  • Gives regular information/advice concerning health issues depending on the current situation or as the need permits.
  • Prepares and submits daily reports required by the SSMD for its record and reference purposes.
  • Monitors proper housekeeping and cleaning of the work area including furniture, tools and equipment, etc.
  • Practices and monitors safety rules and regulations in the work area.
  • Complies with the proper operating procedures of safety and health standards and regulations.
  • Supports Environmental Management System with respect to their job.
  • Adhere to Policies/Procedure, Employee Code of Ethics and Conduct and Corporate Governance.
  • Protects intellectual property, company proprietary and confidential information.

Requirements of the position:

  • Education/Knowledge: Graduate of any 4 – 5 years Engineering Course or any related course of Safety, Health and Environment discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowlegeable in: ISO 9001:2008 / ISO1400:2004 / OHSAS 18001:2007 Management System. Knowlegeable with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards
  • Work Experience with at least 1 – 2 years relevant experience On Construction, Manufacturing or Engineering industry.

Work location: Naga Colon, Cebu
