We're Hiring: Occupational Safety and Health Officer III

Location: Cebu City | Company: Strategic Office Support Inc. | Employment Type: Full-Time

Join Strategic Office Support Inc. (SOS) and play a vital role in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace environment. We're looking for an experienced Occupational Safety and Health Officer III who will take the lead in promoting health, safety, and well-being across our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct OSH orientations and implement safety programs aligned with company and regulatory standards.
  • Perform regular safety inspections of all company facilities and ensure continuous compliance with OSH protocols.
  • Review and manage safety documentation such as inspection reports, incident reports, and safety statistics.
  • Ensure no personnel are deployed without completing the required OSH orientation.
  • Serve as secretary of the Health and Safety Committee and coordinate closely with the OSH Manager.
  • Lead risk assessments, enforce preventive measures, and investigate workplace incidents to identify root causes.
  • Facilitate safety and emergency response training for all employees.
  • Oversee workplace activities to ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards.
  • Recommend and enforce corrective actions to maintain a hazard-free environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, or an Engineering-related field (preferred).
  • Certified OSH practitioner, preferably SO2 or SO3.
  • Completed 40-hour Basic OSH training and 48-hour advanced/specialized OSH training as required by DOLE standards.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in a safety or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of RA 11058, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 45001 standards.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Filipino.
  • Skilled in critical thinking, problem-solving, and job analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Capable of providing First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Reliable under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
