Job Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Postgraduate training or certification in Basic Occupational Health and Safety (Safety Officer 2) and Occupational First Aid training is required.
  • Proven experience as a company nurse or in a clinical nursing role.
  • Strong background in occupational health and nursing practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Compassionate, patient, and caring disposition.

Job Decription:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective health and safety programs in the workplace.
  • Provide prompt emergency medical care and first aid to employees as needed.
  • Administer over-the-counter medications in accordance with company policy and medical guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and comfortable clinic or sickbay area.
  • Promote health awareness, proper nutrition, and wellness programs among employees.
  • Record and monitor all employee illnesses and injuries while ensuring confidentiality of medical information.
  • Conduct regular health checks and implement programs to improve employee well-being.
  • Develop strategies and initiatives to enhance employee productivity and overall health.
  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with management regarding health and safety matters.
  • Attend seminars and workshops on topics such as HIV/AIDS awareness, gender sensitivity, family planning, and stress management to stay updated with best practices.
