About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Project-Based Assistant who will handle the end-to-end AR cycle—from invoice preparation to collection follow-ups and accurate accounting recording. You will work closely with our finance team to ensure timely billing, proper monitoring of receivables, and complete financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and issue invoices accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and ensure timely collection.
  • Follow up with clients through email, calls, and other communication channels regarding outstanding balances.
  • Record daily receipts and ensure proper allocation in the accounting system (Xero).
  • Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing issues.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date AR files and documentation.
  • Generate AR reports and provide updates on collection status.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for invoice clarification or supporting documents.
  • Assist in improving AR processes and controls during the project period.
  • Perform other AR-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of solid experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting functions.
  • Experience in end-to-end AR work: invoicing, monitoring, collection, and recording.
  • Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting systems is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel / Google Sheets.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Experience working with Australian companies or AU accounting setup.
  • Knowledge of AR best practices and internal controls.
  • Ability to handle high-volume transactions.
