Accounting Professional Wanted

Seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily financial transactions in Xero, including reconciliations, invoicing, expense management, and general ledger entries.
  • Capture, code, and file supplier receipts and invoices using Dext; ensure digital documents are organised and audit-ready.
  • Process and track accounts payable and receivable; prepare supplier payments and chase incoming payments as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to support accurate job costing: allocate materials, labour, and overhead to relevant projects.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
  • Prepare monthly management reports: P&L, cash-flow statements, project cost summaries.
  • Assist with BAS preparation and liaise with external accountants for GST and tax matters.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in bookkeeping using Xero.
  • Proficiency with Dext or similar receipt-capturing tools.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles: invoicing, reconciliation, tracking expenses, and job costing.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail in both financial and administrative tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
