Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical assistance to our customers.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to proactively engage with customers, resolve their queries, and provide them with valuable self-service support content.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional technical support to customers via online platforms such as forums, social media, and email.
  • Deflect support cases by resolving customer queries in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitor and expedite the escalation of user issues reported online.
  • Amply urgent product advisories and latest version releases through social media.
  • Act as a technical contact to help produce informative how-to guides and videos.
  • Review, moderate, and verify community content to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
  • Collect and relay valuable user feedback and suggestions to stakeholders to drive product improvement.

Requirements:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Organized self-starter with accountability and responsibility for their work.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT security concepts, including antivirus, networking, and encryption technologies.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Active Directory, SQL, Networking, Microsoft Exchange, VMWare, Linux/Unix, Mac, Microsoft Windows, Windows Server Administration, and Domain Controllers.
  • Thorough knowledge of Security, Cloud, Data protection, Encryption, Malware, Spyware, Cyber Security, Firewalls, Antivirus, and Disaster Recovery.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.
  • Experience with remediation of malware/viruses/Trojans.
  • Experience with installation and configuration of MacOS, UNIX, or Netware.
  • Experience with Virtualization (MS SystemCenter Virtual Machine Manager and/or VMWARE).
  • Knowledge of online support platforms and experience with social media platforms.
