Database Support Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Database Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customer-facing teams and ensuring the smooth operation of our databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customer care specialists and field service engineers on database backup and recovery;
  • Perform regular backups and recoveries for databases and replication servers;
  • Design and implement automated processes for server maintenance;
  • Meet service level agreements and deliver high-quality results;
  • Analyze system performance and capacity, identifying areas for improvement;
  • Implement migration of new builds and ensure seamless transitions;
  • Configure and install database software and related applications;
  • Develop and implement database standards and automation routines;
  • Migrate databases across various hardware platforms.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology;
  • At least 4 years of experience in IT, with 2+ years of DBA experience;
  • Knowledge of Sybase, MS SQL, Oracle, and T-SQL/PL/SQL;
  • Experience with server applications such as web servers, API, IIS;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
